Ellenabeich/Easdale, Oban, Argyll
Sleeps: 1 to 4

Details

Tramway Cottages offers a collection of self catering holiday accommodation in the 200 year old conservation village of Ellenabeich (also known as Easdale). Situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, the holiday homes offer spectacular sea views to the Isle of Mull and beyond as well as being a great base for visiting Oban and exploring Argyll. It is here that your dream of a Scottish Highland escape awaits you!

The two cottages are furnished and decorated to an exceptionally high standard. Each has a large living room, kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. They are fully double glazed and feature electric "total control" central heating, making them extremely warm and comfortable. Each cottage has private parking for two cars.

The living room has a maple hardwood floor and an open fireplace built from local slate. We provide fuel for those who would like to savour the delights of an open fire. There is a CD player, smart TV, and a DVD player with a selection of films for those rainy days. We also offer a wireless broadband internet connection. A feature staircase leads through the living room to the upper floor.

The fully equipped kitchen and dining area has a quarry tiled floor with a stable door leading to a small back garden. Each kitchen features all the modern conveniences including a fridge with freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, electric cooker and a microwave.

Both bedrooms upstairs are fully carpeted. The main bedroom has a king size bed and the smaller bedroom has 2ft 6 twin beds which zip and link to form another King size if required. All the beds are supplied with linen and duvets. Both Seashell and Rockpool cottage have an electric shower over a spa bath.

We pride ourselves on having exceptional accommodation and the cottages are under our personal supervision. We live close by, so we are usually on hand.

The area is rich in its Slate Industrial Heritage and embodies its own unique atmosphere. Fishing, bird watching, hill walking, sailing and diving are just a few of the actively pursued interests. For the golf enthusiasts there is a nine hole course just two miles from Ellenabeich. Further afield and a short drive away can be found some of Scotland’s unrivalled heritage. From magnificent castles, ancient fortresses and the prehistoric stone markers of Kilmartin Glen, a wealth of the area’s fascinating history awaits the traveller.
