Pen Y Cae Cottage

New Quay, Ceredigion
Sleeps: 1 to 12

Details

Pen Y Cae Cottage offers cosy self catering accommodation on the edge of New Quay, based in a lovely area of Ceredigion. The beautiful Cardigan coastal path is only a 10-minute stroll away from us.

Our cottage, an old farm cow shed conversion, offers glorious views of the sea and is close to the cliffs. The cottage is great for families or large groups.

Kitchen

A newly refurbished kitchen has a large Range style electric oven with gas hobs and a full size dishwasher.

We have a very large farmhouse table that can seat 12, plus a highchair (extra chairs if needed can be found around the cottage).

The central heating and hot water are on timers from a new external oil boiler (please be aware water can get very hot to ensure adequate temp for the 'family room' bathroom).

The utility room off the kitchen houses a fridge freezer and a small free standing freezer. Also the washing machine and microwave are in here.

The conservatory

Great place to unwind with a coffee or tea, it has comfortable seating, ideal for bird watching, double doors open out onto a patio area with charcoal BBQ , seating etc and the extensive gardens (also with picnic bench, and further garden seating).

Lounge

Has an Inglenook style fire place with a wood burner, comfy seating with an LCD smart TV, double doors that open onto the extensive gardens that have lovely views, a great place to relax in and watch the sunsets.

Bedrooms

In total there are 5 bedrooms: 4 double rooms and 1 twin single (plus twin singles above the family too), to include:

A family room with ensuite bathroom which has twin beds on a mezzanine level reached by open tread steep stairs. Please note this area has low head room, internally reached through a double room but has its own external door.

A double room above the lounge with ensuite bathroom.

2 further double rooms

1 twin single next to the main bathroom.

Main bathroom, a spacious room, bath with electric shower, WC and sink, situated nearer the kitchen.

Outside we have a large garden to enjoy, including lots of seating areas and a wildlife pond. You can also use the picnic area on our campsite.

New Quay is an old fishing village that has plenty to do, it boasts clean safe sandy beaches, water sports, sea fishing trips, wildlife/dolphin viewing boat trips, coastal path walking or simply sitting and enjoying the sea, sand and views.
