Sleeps: 1 to 10

Details

Welsh Hideaways are a pair of charming, self-catering cottages located in a stunning part of Ceredigion at Cwmystwyth, high in the hills inland from Aberystwyth. We are told that few self-catering holiday cottages offer such comfort, peace and a sense of retreat from the fast-paced pressures of everyday life.

The cottages can be rented separately or together, with an interconnecting internal door making them into one spacious home:

Ty Mari: Sleeps 6 in a double and 2 twin rooms.

Penroc: Sleeps 4 in a double and a twin room.

You can see every room and compare the cottages on www.welsh-hideaways.co.uk

Both cottages are cosy even in mid-Winter, with a flame effect electric fire to gather around on cold evenings. Penroc has underfloor heating (available on request). Both cottages have a king size bed as well as comfy twin rooms – so after a long day of walking with the dogs, enjoying endless outdoor activities, you will be sure of a good night’s sleep. But before you turn in for the night, you can take full advantage of the wonderful views that mid-west Wales has to offer on the balcony of Penroc or from Ty Mari’s detached Garden Room, while enjoying a home cooked dinner or glass of wine on a summer’s evening. The international dark sky park is nearby, so star-gazing is an unforgettable experience.

For those cold and dark nights, there are a range of options to keep you entertained as you enjoy the heat of the stove, including Smart TV, iPlayer, DVDs, music system, fast internet (fibre to property) and a good selection of games. Whether it’s a romantic countryside retreat or a large family/group walking holiday in Wales – the cottages cater for everyone (even your dog!).

These dog friendly holiday cottages in mid-west Wales are set on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in a breath-taking location, on the interface between wooded valleys and rugged hills. For those looking for adventure there are endless beautiful walks and cycling trails for children, adults and dogs alike. A narrow-gauge steam railway is nearby; swimming, dolphin spotting, Red Kite feeding and bird watching, mountain biking, fly fishing, horse riding and viewing historic mines are amongst the attractions within a short drive.
