Details

Perranuthnoe, a picturesque village in Cornwall, boasts a south-facing sandy beach ideal for sunbathing, rock pooling and surfing. Situated in the village's heart, a short walk from the beach and the Coastal Path, are 4 and 5 St Pirans Cottages. Originally granite barns, these two-bedroom cottages comfortably accommodate four adults each.

Retaining their historical charm, the cottages feature modern kitchens and bathrooms, cosy sitting rooms, and comfy beds, perfect for unwinding after a day filled with swimming, surfing and exploration.

Cottage 4: This cottage invites relaxation with its warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen/diner, recently updated, includes a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher and a full-size fridge/freezer. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the Nespresso machine and milk frother. A washing machine is cleverly tucked away in an under-stairs cupboard, providing a practical solution for beach and outdoor gear. The sitting room, with its plush sofas, is ideal for enjoying a book or watching TV or a DVD in the evening. Guests can stay connected with unlimited free Wi-Fi, perfect for planning the next day’s adventures.

The upper floor houses a spacious double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a contemporary bathroom. For those traveling with infants, a high chair and travel cot are available. Linens and bath towels are provided, with guests needing to bring their own beach towels.

Cottage 5: This cottage mirrors the comfort and warmth of Cottage 4, with a similar layout and amenities designed to make guests feel at home. It too has been refurbished to offer a modern and well-equipped kitchen/diner, a cosy sitting room and two bedrooms designed for restful nights. Again, there is a cot and high chair available if required.

Perranuthnoe’s beach is just a five-minute walk away, with the acclaimed Victoria Inn nearby, reservations are recommended. The village is home to two delightful cafés, art galleries and a small gift shop. A local farm shop at the road’s end supplies essentials and a highly recommended fish and chip shop is just a 5-minute drive away on the Helston road. The Coastal Path offers stunning walks to Marazion, allowing for a visit to St Michael's Mount at low tide or a ferry ride for those preferring not to wet their feet. Heading in the opposite direction, the path leads to Prussia Cove, with opportunities to spot seals along the way.
