What makes Fowey Cottages, Little Pinnock, so special for your holiday is that not only do you have your own private garden to enjoy but a further 12 acres of grounds. The rural setting and woods are the perfect place for kids to be kids, build dens and have their own Cornish adventure. We have often sat at the edge of the woods in the evening with a G&T and watched the wild deer and badgers at play while Kestrels hover lazily above. For dog owners it is paradise, your dog can have all the exercise it needs without leaving the grounds.

Each of the houses can be booked individually, yet we often have families hiring both for larger occasions such as weddings or landmark birthdays. We have even had celebrities arriving by private helicopter and landing in the large field. Yet you are only a stones throw away from the coast and the restaurants of Fowey.

Long House:

Long house as you would guess from its name, is much longer in appearance and offers a large open plan living area, with high-beamed ceilings, wooden floors and under floor heating through out.

At one end of the living area is a well-equipped kitchen with Fridge/freezer, electric oven, and dishwasher. The dining area leads on to the sitting room with its log burning stove, two and three seater sofas and large glass doors opening on to a paved patio with wooden garden furniture.

It offers three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single. The twin bedroom is at the far end of the ground floor and has windows looking onto the front gardens while the single bedroom, which is off the living room, has floor length windows looking over the front of the house.

The downstairs bathroom has a large rainwater showerhead above the bath and a utility cupboard that contains a washer/dryer.

As you go upstairs you pass the entrance to the open gallery, which overlooks the living area and has 2 single low-level beds. The large double bedroom with en-suit shower room is on the top floor with a high-beamed ceiling and French doors leading over a small bridge to the upper garden. On many an occasion we have seen an owl sitting just outside the French doors on the handrail.

Long House is surrounded by its own gardens with areas perfect to sit and enjoy a book or watch the kids play.

There is car parking in front of the house for three cars.

Pella:

Little Pinnock Pella was the first house to be renovated, and still retains all of its charm. It is the smaller of the houses yet some of the stonewalls are about three feet thick. The house is decorated in light farrow and ball colours with stripped antique pine floorboards and loose rugs throughout.

The large high-beamed sitting room has an open fireplace, two sofas, slate hearth & TV. At one end of the room is a well equipped fitted kitchen with electric cooker & oven, a large fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer/drier and a large farm house table with six chairs.

Above the kitchen area is an open gallery with a spring-loaded gate, reached by a great sliding stair ladder. The gallery has a single mattresses under the eaves.

Pella offers two bedrooms, one double and a second bedroom with a double and a single bed. The large double, which is on the ground floor, has an en suite bathroom with a Victorian roll top bath. The second bedroom can be found on the first floor and has a separate loo and shower room.

Our favourite part of Pella is the large south-facing terrace overlooking the gardens that lead on to fields and down to a stream. It is perfect for catching the sun all day and watching the stars by night.
