Langdale Holiday Cottages offers wonderful self catering accommodation at Langdale Estate, set in the heart of the Lake District National Park. We are in the ideal location for exploring Ambleside and a range of attractions in Cumbria.

The Langdale Estate offers a wide range of 5-star properties to suit all tastes. Our Scandinavian-style lodges are set in 35 acres of mature woodland, a haven for peace and relaxation.

We have a choice of 1, 2 and 3 properties available, all finished to a high standard. All the lodges come with attractive bedrooms, modern bathrooms, cosy living areas with Freeview TV/DVD player and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Outside there is a private balcony/patio, great for relaxing on with a morning coffee.

At Elterwater, the Hall has been converted into luxury apartments that retain much of the character of this gentleman’s residence while the Cottage and Barn ooze with rustic charm. The gardens enjoy views of the fells and Elterwater tarn and easy access to the nature trail.

At Chapel Stile, the original farmhouse has been extended and converted into apartments along with Wainwright's Inn, all of which sit in lovely gardens alongside the Great Langdale Beck. The grounds at Chapel Stile include a barbecue area.
