Sunnyside Guest House, Keswick, Cumbria, Lake District

Keswick's stunning setting and fast growing reputation as England's adventure capital, makes it the ideal location for a break in the lakes.
Our private car park is for up to 8 cars, a rare benefit in busy Keswick which sets us apart from other B&B's and guest houses in Keswick. We do our very best to ensure all our guests have the best stay possible at Sunnyside Guest House, Keswick and that includes catering for any special diets where we can.
Our accommodation is second to none amongst Keswick's guesthouses as our award of 4 AA Gold Stars shows. Each of our seven bedrooms enjoys its own character and many of our regular guests have their own individual preference.
What each room has in common is a high standard of professional decor and all have modern en suite facilities. All have the sort of in room comforts you would expect from a quality establishment - refreshment making facilities, flat screen TV with Freeview, hair dryer and of course complimentary toiletries. Additional items like chocolates, flowers or champagne to suit a special occasion can be easily arranged. Just ask.
One of Sunnyside's best features is its large, comfortable guest lounge - a place you can rest, relax and perhaps plan your next day's activities.
We pride ourselves on serving you a top quality breakfast that will set you up for the day. Choose from a wide range of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit salad and juices followed by a hearty traditional cooked breakfast to suit your mood or palate. We make a point of using, where possible, local Cumbrian produce both to support local farming and to ensure that what goes on your plate is of the finest quality, with taste to match.
There is something for everyone - whether you're here to walk like Wainwright, soar like an Osprey or enjoy the views that inspired Wordsworth, Ruskin, Coleridge and Southey to write and Turner and Constable to paint. Keswick is a thriving market town with a rich variety of shops, galleries and attractions and is a great place to find that special something. Mountain summits, forest trails and lakeside paths - Keswick has them all in abundance - so itís no surprise that you can enjoy almost any outdoor pursuit during your stay.
Take a stroll to Derwentwater, hop on one of the beautiful wooden launches and enjoy a breath taking boat journey. As the town centre is mainly pedestrianised, it is a great place to amble, browse and shop with the busiest shopping days being Thursday and Saturday when the market comes to town. Plus there are antique shops, second hand bookshops and galleries specialising in local artists' painting, photography and pottery. Local produce is everywhere and food lovers can have a field day savouring all that's great about the area including cheeses, bacon and sausage, chocolates and local beers.
