Parkergate Cottages offers lovely self catering accommodation near the tranquil village of Bassenthwaite. Our collection of 7 converted cottages and a farmhouse are near Keswick and ideally placed for exploring Cumbria.

Our cottages and date from the 18th Century and the main house was built in 1767. Each property is tastefully furnished surrounded by fields with sheep and cattle. The properties sleep between 2 – 10 people. The properties enjoy wonderful views.

Calva Cottage

We offer accommodation for up to 2 people in this floor apartment. The apartment comes with a spacious master double room and a bathroom with a WC and separate shower. The open plan kitchen, diner and lounge will suit all your needs. Facilities include a TV, DVD player, fridge/freezer, electric oven and microwave.

Stable Cottage

Our 1-bedroom ground floor cottage comes with a large bedroom with either a super-king size bed or two singles. In the lounge, the sofa converts into a double. The bathroom has a WC, bath and separate walk-in shower. The sitting room includes a TV and DVD player and double glass doors lead to the kitchen/dining room which includes a fridge/freezer, cooker and microwave. Outside there is a spacious garden to unwind in.

Ullock Pike Cottage

We offer accommodation in this first-floor apartment, sleeping 2 in a master double room. The bathroom has a WC, bath and separate shower cubicle. The open plan lounge and diner lead to a fully equipped kitchen. Facilities include a TV, DVD player, fridge with freezer compartment and oven.

The Loft

Our cottage comes with a super-king/twin bedroom and a double bedroom on the mezzanine level. A large bathroom comes with a WC, freestanding bath and a separate shower. Unwind in the beamed living room which includes a TV and DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area has a fridge with a freezer compartment, electric oven and dishwasher. Outside there is a balcony with seating for al fresco dining.

Black Moss Cottage

We offer accommodation in this 3-bedroom barn conversion, offering a master double room, twin room and single room, plus a shower room and a family bathroom with WC and shower over bath. The open plan dining area and fully equipped kitchen, lounge and shower room are on the ground floor. Facilities include a TV, DVD player, fridge/freezer, electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and dishwasher.

Whinlatter Cottage

Our 3-bedroom barn conversion comes with a master double room, twin room and single room. The family bathroom has a WC and shower over bath. A shower room has a WC. On the ground floor, there is a lounge area with a TV and DVD player and a French window that open to the patio area. The open plan dining area and kitchen has a fridge/freezer, electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and dishwasher.

The Farmhouse

We offer accommodation in this four-bedroom house, sleeping 8-10 people. Bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a WC and shower. Two king bedrooms include an en suite bathroom with a WC and shower. There is also a twin room and family bathroom with WC and separate shower.

The newly refurbished farmhouse has a sun lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a storeroom and a children’s lounge. Facilities include a TV, DVD player, oven, two fridge/freezers and washing machine. Outside there are several seating areas to enjoy.

We are in a great position for discovering all that the area has to offer. Visit the exotic animals at the Lake District Wildlife Park or see Derwentwater, a famous Lake District Lake. You can head into Keswick, home to shops, restaurants, cafes and museums. Attractions to visit whilst staying with us include:
