Hawksmoor is a lovely, spacious Lakeland guest house with 12 en suite bedrooms. The guest house is ideally situated between and within walking distance of the villages of Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere, part of the English Lake District National Park in Cumbria, where you can find many shops, restaurants and of course the lake itself. The house enjoys a relaxing private garden to the front, woodland to the rear and spacious off road parking.

There are 12 bedrooms to choose from at Hawksmoor, with double, twin and family rooms available. Each bedroom is fully en suite with either bath or shower including flat screen LCD TVs with built in DVD player, free unlimited wireless internet access, tea/coffee making facilities, wine glasses, bottle opener, hairdryer, clock/radio and fully fitted wardrobes. Every room has views of either the gardens or woodland.

The generous dining room overlooks the gardens and offers a relaxing environment in which to enjoy a full and hearty English breakfast, the perfect place to enjoy the company of fellow guests and perhaps make new friends.

Hawksmoor offers all its guests use of the leisure facilities based at the nearby Old England Hotel. This new 3 million pound refurbished spa is located just a 10 minute walk away in Bowness village. Facilities offered there include the use of an indoor 20m swimming pool with views of Lake Windermere; a state of the art, fully equipped Techno gym; the Thermal Suite; and the rock sauna, aroma room & ice room.

The guest house is ideally situated for people who love to walk and cycle, there are many varieties of walks available straight from the front door, we even have a drying room for all your kit. You can also hire a boat to cruise of the lake or you can take a lake cruise to the village of Ambleside. The area is full of interesting places to visit, for example the Beatrix Potter Museum, Lakeland Motor Museum, Muncaster Castle or South Lakes Animal Park.
