Hill Top Farm Self Catering can be found within the beautiful Lake District National Park and offers its guests accommodation for up to 16 people in the main farm and the attach refurbished barn. Due to our location Hill Top Farm is a very popular choice for those who are visiting the Lake District so we do advise that guests book well ahead. We are situated in a prime location and provide a perfect base for those who are looking to visit the Lake District in particular but also for those who want to explore Cumbria, we are only 4 miles from Coniston Water and 6 miles from Windermere.

Our self catering holiday accommodations are situated on the outskirts of Penny Bridge village and enjoy an elevated rural situation, with views over the Leven estuary. This is a peaceful and secluded location, with no neighbouring properties on its single-track road. However, it is less than a mile from convenient local shops at Greenodd (baker, butcher, post office/general store, pub, garage and a new deli/dinner party catering/takeaway).

Both of our properties are set in approx. 2 acres of land and are full of individual character. Our traditional farmhouse has exposed beams, pine doors, an open fire and a wood burning stove and all of the guest rooms have charming rural views. It has recently been refurbished with new modern central heating, kitchen, dining, 4 large bedrooms, a very large vaulted lounge, small snug (with sofa bed) bathroom, shower room, large barn loft games room and is a comfortable and warm home.

Excellent facilities include a new smart TV (including Netflix and Prime) and home cinema with Sonos. Just download the Sonos app and control the multi-speaker music. We also have Amazon speakers inside and on the veranda and good wireless internet throughout.

Hill Top is an attractive place from which to explore the Southern Lakes, or simply to relax in the house and garden and watch the ever-changing views.

Our newly refurbished attached Barn is modern and bright and includes high quality furnishings. The holiday barn consists of: a separate entrance, ground floor walk-in shower room, bespoke high spec kitchen/dining room, an open plan lounge with burning stove and a door/bookcase through to the main house (lockable on both sides. There are large glass doors to the garden with views to the estuary. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and another bathroom. The barn can be booked for those people booking the main house who require additional self contained accommodation and can be rent on its own out of peak season.

We also have a range of excellent facilities to enjoy, including swings for children, a cosy fire pit, luxurious hot tub and games room. We also offer free fresh eggs to collect.

Our aim is to share our home (when we are not there) to groups of families and friends who enjoy The Lake District. The area offers plenty to see & do and is perfect for those who enjoy walking, cycling and horse riding. The farm is close to a range of local shops and pubs.
