The Old Granary is a stone barn conversion that was once a grain store and is now a beautiful 5 star rated self catering accommodation for up to 8 people in the Old Granary and The Shepherds Hut which is located in a peaceful meadow just a short way from the cottage. Throughout the site you can enjoy spectacular and far reaching views. This self catering accommodation is in the quaint hamlet of Wheatcroft, 4 miles from Matlock, Derbyshire. The holiday cottage is very spacious and includes a living area with a wood burning stove, underfloor heating, quality entertainment equipment including, 46" Smart TV, Panasonic DVD surround sound system, Sony Blu-Ray Player, DVD Library with approx. 50 films, stereo/CD with iPod docking station and MP3 player connectivity which has the facility to play music through ceiling speakers throughout the barn. The kitchen/diner is full equipped granite worktops, Belfast sink, antique painted furniture, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities, fridge with ice compartment, second fridge and small freezer, Dualit coffee machine, Graef coffee grinder, Dualit toaster and kettle, electric range cooker, microwave and LCD TV with Freeview channels. Short breaks are available all year round.

There are 3 bedrooms available which consist of 3 king sized bedrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. All bedrooms have 24" Smart TV's.

Outside there is a lovely patio area, private garden, BBQ and private hot tub.

On arrival a welcome pack is provided which includes wine, chocolates, 6 free range eggs from our own chickens, tea, instant coffee (please note coffee beans are not included), sugar, milk, all cleaning products together with dishwasher/washing machine tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen roll, cling film, foil, sandwich bags, handwash, shampoo/body wash and conditioner.

The Shepherds Hut is finished to a high standard - it has underfloor heating, oak flooring, wood burning stove and a full size double bed with storage underneath.

This is the ideal setting for walking as there are many footpaths available straight from the front door. The area is also rich with attractions such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall, Gullivers Kingdom and Alton Towers.
