Bricknell Cottages are a collection of self catering holiday homes that can be found on Pear Tree Farm just outside of Fangoss in East Yorkshire. Our holiday cottages are ideal for those who are looking for a relaxing break away as a couple or a group of friends and family who are looking for a place to get together. Our farm is only a short drive from York and the many attractions in this part of England.

All of the cottages are furnished to the highest possible standard; all bedrooms have en suite facilities, some with double showers and large double-ended baths. We have used reclaimed timber throughout to provide lots of interesting characteristics, we are sure that you will be overwhelmed by the attention to detail in these outstanding renovations.

Roxy's Roost:

The exceptionally 4 Star rated Roxy's Roost is situated adjacent to Peach's Place and has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a wonderful white bed with country-chic floral cushions and an open plan bathroom complete with a lavish double bath. The twin room has modern en suite facilities. There is a cosy kitchen/living area with a fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and a contemporary fire. Roxy's has its own private courtyard garden with furniture on a raised rustic platform.

Clover Leaf Cottage:

5 star rated Clover Leaf Cottage is special to all of us and has been created out of the former milk dairy and calf rearing house. This beautiful single storey cottage can sleep up to 4 people in two bedrooms. The double bedroom has a feature bath, set in timber with delicate lighting and a sumptuous king size bed, whilst the 3' twin beds in the other room can be zipped together to form a super king size bed, if required. The twin bedded room, with curious cartwheel window, has an en suite shower room. The flooring throughout this cottage is Indian stone which adds a rustic feel to complement the oak and pine beams. There is a spacious living area with contemporary fire and a well set out kitchen. We have reclaimed timber from the old farm buildings and used them throughout the cottage. The way the wood is finished gives the cottage a warm & cosy feel.

Ruby's Retreat Cottage:

This welcoming 5 star two-storey cottage provides luxurious accommodation for up to 6 people. The large living/kitchen area contains a solid oak dining table wrapped around one of the walls and under the feature staircase, creating a special atmosphere. The bedrooms all contain king size beds and each room has its own unique feature. Choose from an under lit metal canopy bed on a raised wooden plinth with floor to ceiling glass windows set in an oak frame and a double ended bath and a huge picture window.

Peach's Place:

Situated at the very end of the yard this 4 star attractive cottage with views across our fields has 2 bedrooms, a hall and an open plan kitchen living room. The main bedroom, with its romantic 4 poster king size bed, a large sumptuous double ended bath, while the second bedroom has twin beds and an en suite with a double shower. Each room includes an LCD TV. Outside there is your own private attractive garden/patio area with relaxing lavender bushes surrounding a hammock and a timber platform housing the garden furniture.

Ethel's Escape Cottage:

Enter into this 5 star rustic cottage and you are immediately met by the stunning kitchen/dining area with a long wooden dining table seating twelve diners, the pine kitchen with a range cooker, "unusual" lighting scheme and striking open tread wooden staircase. The 3 bedroomed holiday cottage sleeps a maximum of 6 people in complete lavishness. All bedrooms are gorgeous but the most amazing has to be the ground floor bedroom with its saloon style swing doors. There’s also a chunky four poster room boasting a double bath at its foot. A twin and double en suite room are also available.

There are over 800 different attractions and places of interest in and around the Yorkshire Area. The York Dungeons, The JORVIK Viking Centre and the National Railway Museum a just a few examples of interesting attractions to visit during your stay.
