Highwood is a small beautiful village on the outskirts of Chelmsford. There are lots of pretty places to walk as there are several woods in the area like Barrow Wood, Baker’s Wood and many, many more. Plus it is in a good location to various Golf Parks and Birds Green Fishing Lakes.

Wards Farm B&B is a Traditional oak-beamed 16th Century farmhouse set in moated grounds, log fires and a warm welcome and is in a good location to visit Chelmsford.

We also have caravan/camping facilities and accommodation available in our self catering cottage.

Chelmsford is only 35 min from London and has much to offer the visitor, with lots of things to see and do locally. It provides an ideal starting point to explore Essex.
