The Inn at Fossebridge

Fossebridge, Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Details

The Inn at Fossebridge located on the banks of the River Coln, between Northleach and Cirencester has been there for more than 300 years. All supplies would in those days have been transported around the country by horse-drawn carriage. The Inn was established as a ‘watering hole’ and stopover because additional horses had to be attached to pull the carriages up the very steep hill on the other side.

It is thought that the Fireplace in the Bar was originally a forge for shoeing the horses.

Experienced Hotelier, Dee Ludlow and her partner Geoff Collins, offer an exceptional casual dining concept within the character Cotswold pub with stone walls, flagstone floors and beams.

There are 7 luxurious bedrooms in the main house, all individual in size and design and furnished with antique and period furniture.

The magnificent dining/meeting rooms can be used for banqueting and the beautiful Georgian windows overlook four acres of stunning gardens and the lake.

The Inn is located on the famous Fosse Way (the old Roman road) which is the A429. It is in the very centre of the Cotswolds and is perfectly situated for visiting the many attractions and villages nearby such as Bourton on the Water, the Slaughters, Stow on the Wold, Bibury, Burford and many others.
