Details

Celyn Brithion is a campsite located within the Snowdonia National Park, at Dinas Mawddwy near Machynlleth in Gwynedd. Campers can enjoy the spectacular scenery that surrounds us, including green and purple mountains, ancient woodlands and fast flowing rivers. Our campsite is also within easy reach of the coastal resorts of Barmouth and Aberdovey.

No matter what your taste - sandy beaches, sailing, fishing, activity centres for most outdoor pursuits, mountain biking, horse riding and quad biking. Cader Idris, ideal for walkers and the Dovey Valley Trail. Bird watching, RSBP centre, Bala Lake and Lake Vyrnwy within easy reach. The list is endless and it’s all here!

Our caravan site at Dinas Mawddwy is close to the market towns Machynlleth (market day every Wednesday) and Dolgellau (market day every Friday). On the doorstep is the Meirion Mill where you can buy gifts, jewellery, pottery and crafts, woollens and much more. With stunning views of the mountains and River Dyfi, the Meirion Mill was the terminus of the Old Mawddwy Railway. Next to the entrance gate, the double arched Packhorse Bridge, built over 300 years ago, spans the river. A hotel is within walking distance.
