Gaerwen Farm Cottages is a 200-acre family-run working dairy/mixed farm, situated in a little hamlet called Ynys, just four miles from Criccieth and the beaches. Come and experience a short cottage break and enjoy the quietness of rural life in Gwynedd where you are welcome to participate in farm activities- feed the calves, watch the milking, and perhaps play with the dogs!

Farmhouse (sleeps 7):A traditional Welsh self catering farmhouse built of massive stones, oozing charm and character, in which a famous Welsh bard once lived. Comfortably furnished and personally decorated to provide a warm homely atmosphere.

The cosy lounge comes with open beams ad an inglenook fireplace with coal-effect electric fire. Colour T.V/DVD, Sky, Radio C.D. Player. Some games and light reading material provided. A well-equipped kitchen is recessed and include fitted units, fridge freezer, electric cooker, hob and fan, microwave, automatic washing machine, coffee percolator, all crockery/utensils provided. A dining room has 6ft dining table and chairs and portable TV.

All the bedrooms are neatly furnished with matching décor and bedding. Bed linen is free and beds are made up for your arrival.

Farm Cottage (sleeps 6): A modern self-contained extension to the Farmhouse comfortably furnished and personally decorated to provide a warm homely atmosphere, with views of Snowdonia and the mountains, and distant views of the sea.

A kitchen/diner has dark oak fitted units, an electric cooker, hob and fan, automatic washing machine, microwave and a toasted sandwich maker. All crockery and utensils are provided. Pine table and seating for six. The relaxing lounge has a TV, Sky, Radio, CD player, coal effect electric fire, a few games and light reading material provided.

All the bedrooms are neatly furnished with matching décor and bedding. Bed linen is free and beds are made up for your arrival.

There are literally dozens of safe and sandy beaches within a minute’s drive of the cottages. There are a string of 13th and 14th Century castles along the Gwynedd coastline. The Romans have also left their mark here, and more recently, Lloyd George’s boyhood village and museum are just down the road. There are golf courses at Pwllheli, Criccieth, Porthmadog, Caernarfon, Nefyn and across the bay at Harlech all within a travelling distance of half an hour.
