Escape to Rhyd y Galen Caravan Park & Campsite, an idyllic base just outside Caernarfon convenient for Eryri (Snowdonia). Situated amid breathtaking mountain views and only 1.2 miles from the Wales Coast Path, our site puts you within easy reach of hiking, cycling, watersports and countless other outdoor adventures across Gwynedd.

We are based in 22 acres of farmland and offer grass pitches and hard standing pitches. The pitches are all a good size and access is available via tarmac roads. There are also 5 secluded pitches which has parking nearby and there are seasonal pitches available.

Glamping accommodation is available in our Shepherd’s hut that sleeps 2 people, set in a tranquil area of the site. The hut comes with a double bed, toilet, sink, wood burning stove, single gas stove, table and chairs, crockery, cutlery, water, gas and electricity. Outside there is a decking area to relax on and there is a fire pit and BBQ for al fresco dining.

We are a great base for discovering all that the area has to offer. Only 7 miles away is Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) and Caernarfon is just 3 miles away. Over a mile away is Lôn Las, the national cycle route and footpath. You can walk along the 870-mile Wales Coastal path or visit Plas Menai, the National Watersports Centre.
