Empress Heights, Southampton, Hampshire
Empress Heights is the perfect property for both business and leisure stays. It is a centrally located, modern, stylish apartment that benefits from two luxurious bedrooms to relax in away from the noise that most hotels come with! The apartment is within easy reach of the City Centre with motorway access for Portsmouth, London, Southampton Airport and the West. Public transport links and the Itchen/Central Bridge are also nearby giving easy access to all main routes.
Each double bedroom benefits from generous wardrobe storage, bedside tables and nighttime lamps. Should you have an early start there is a clock radio on hand. Fresh linen is provided and can be changed at your convenience. There is a small patio area should you get the chance to take in the sunshine.
An open plan yet cosy, living space is furnished with a modern large sofa, a dining table, and chairs, so you can entertain guests for dinner with ease. A large LCD TV with Freeview is also included in the price, as does the broadband WiFi – no hidden costs that are often encountered at your hotel checkout!
The modern kitchen comes equipped with all the utensils and cooking items you need – allowing you the freedom to cook what you like when you like. And you can make use of the washing machine so there is no big wash on your return home. A dishwasher is ready and waiting too! We even supply the dishwasher tablets, Fair Trade tea, and coffee.
The main bathroom houses a power shower and bath stocked with toiletries ready and waiting for your arrival. Fresh towels are provided and are replaced regularly by our house-keeping team. We are available to replace at your convenience – we don't run to a hotel timetable and so are on hand to replace them at your convenience.
Should you wish to dine out for the evening there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, including Ocean Village Marina, some benefiting from the exclusive Town or Country Discount card, which is free to all our guests (enquire on booking).
Located on England's south coast, Southampton has been a major port since the 13th Century and was home to the RMS Titanic. The Maritime Museum in the Wool House features an exhibition on the ill-fated liner. The main station in the city is Southampton Central with excellent links to London and other south coast towns and cities. Southampton Airport is located in the town of Eastleigh, just north of Southampton. It is connected to the city by a frequent rail service, and hosts flights to UK and some European destinations. Southampton harbour is no longer used for car ferries to Europe, but remains the embarkation point for many cruise liners. Sailing is very popular, and Southampton Water has been the start and finish of the Round the World Yacht Race for 30 years. The main retail facility is the West Quay Shopping Centre, which was the biggest city-centre shopping mall in Europe when it was opened. The largest green space is Southampton Common which covers a larger area than Hyde Park in London and includes a Wildlife Centre, a swimming pool and several lakes and ponds.
