Ye Olde George Inn is a delightful 15th-century coaching inn, set in the heart of some of Hampshire's most beautiful countryside. The pub is a beautiful historic building with the River Meon running by the side. Delightful walks along the South Downs Way. Full A La Carte menu and light meals available. Comfortable accommodation, inglenook fireplaces and a very warm welcome. Dogs allowed in the bar and patio area.

All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, basic toiletries, fresh linen, hair-driers and complimentary mineral water. At Ye Olde George we pride ourselves on serving the highest quality food, prepared by chefs with a passion for taste.

We strive to use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. In the heart of Hampshire, we have a wealth of local suppliers, offering free-range and organic produce. The menu at the inn changes often to take advantage of the local seasonal fayre. The kitchen team pride themselves on making all of the dishes on the premises, except the hand-made ice cream, which is made at Forest of Bere Dairy, which is a local farm which supplies all of our fresh dairy produce. We are also featuring ice-cream from Caroline's Dairy in West Sussex. Our fresh crab is hand-picked by our local fisherman, Shaun, from Selsey in Sussex. We use all locally produced cheeses in our dishes. Our sausages are hand-made to our exact recipe by a local award-winning butcher, who also supplies our beef. We use traditional recipes which include roasting veal bones to make our jus, which is used for the majority of our meat dishes.

Long regarded as one of the loveliest places in the valley of the River Meon, the village of East Meon boasts a Norman church with a remarkable 12th-century marble font and an impressive 15th-century Courthouse.
