The Woodlands Tavern is situated in the heart of the friendly chocolate box village of Llanvair Discoed, near Chepstow in Monmouthshire, South Wales. We are close to the Roman fortress town of Caerwent and set at the foot of Gray Hill, Wentwood forest and reservoir, the area is known for its historical interest and outstanding natural beauty.

Owners Keith, his wife Sue, chef Matthew and their team at The Woodlands welcome you to try our varied menu of freshly prepared and locally sourced quality food with a regularly changing menu where fish is highly featured. Lunch and dinner menus available.

Our popular lunchtime menu, 2 courses for £10.95 or 3 courses for £13.95, is served Tuesday to Saturday from 12.00-2.00pm. Early bird menu available Tuesday to Friday 6.00–7.30pm two courses £12.95.
