Cawdor Estate offer superb self catering accommodation in the charming village of Cawdor near Nairn. We are based in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands, great for a romantic weekend break or family/groups family gathering. Nairnshire is perfect for walking, mountain bike riding, golf, fishing, adventure trails and much more.

We have a variety of beautiful properties available, all ideal for a relaxing holiday in a great location. All the properties are tastefully furnished and coms with a range of facilities to suit all your needs, including a microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV & DVD player, iPod docking station and hairdryer. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Achneim Cottage - sleeps 2: Achneim is perfect for a romantic break and has stunning views over the Moray Firth to the Black Isle. The cottage offers a large sitting room with an open fire, a fully equipped kitchen with a separate utility room, a double bedroom and a bathroom.

Ivy Cottage - sleeps 6: This charming three-bedroomed cottage enjoys glorious views across the open countryside and is close to all the amenities. A cosy sitting room includes lovely original features including stripped wooden floorboards, double-hung sash windows and a beautifully restored Victorian open fireplace. The kitchen/dining area comes with a range of appliances for home-cooking. Three bedrooms are available, including a ground floor room. Outside there is a fenced garden to unwind in.

Lochanshelloch Cottage - sleeps 6: This fabulous cottage retains lots of original features whilst still offering quality accommodation. The sitting room and dining room are furnished with old-style comfort in mind, whilst the farmhouse style kitchen has been fully modernised and has everything required to entertain family and friends. Three sizeable bedrooms available, 1 double and 2 twins, as well as well-appointed bathroom and separate shower room.

Fisherman's Cottage - sleeps 6: Our wonderful cottage sits on the banks of the River Findhorn and boasts stunning riverside views. The spacious sitting room and dining area includes a toasty log-burning stove for the winter months. The kitchen is well-equipped for rustling up some delicious dishes. Three large bedrooms are available: two twins and one double room. Additionally, there is a bathroom and shower room.

Gardener's Cottage - sleeps 6: This wonderful stone cottage enjoys outstanding views over the River Findhorn and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The sitting room, dining room and kitchen are all equipped to make you stay as comfortable as possible. In total, there are three bedrooms: two twins upstairs and a double downstairs. There is a bathroom and separate shower room.

Drynachan Lodge – Sleeps 22: Our gorgeous 12-bedroom lodge is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. The lodge has two relaxing reception rooms and ten double bedrooms, one single room and one twin room. Lavish touches include king and queen-size bed, original iron baths and magnificent fireplaces.

The countryside around Cawdor is one of grazing meadows and arable fields, wooded foothills and lofty heather-clad moorlands, rambling forests and fast-flowing rivers. The ancient woodlands of Cawdor Big Wood and Darnaway lie nearby; remnants of the once vast Caledonian Forest. Three great rivers cut a swathe through this undulating land: the River Spey, the second-longest river in Scotland, but indisputably the fastest; the River Findhorn, renowned for its gorge scenery; and the River Nairn, rising in the Monadhliath Mountains and flowing northeast to enter the Moray Firth at Nairn.
