Our wonderful guesthouse accommodation is nestled in stunning grounds which includes a traditional walled garden, immaculately manicured topiary hedge and vegetable garden. The welcoming reception sets the tone for a totally relaxing and memorable stay. Guest comfort is a priority and a real sense of warmth pervades the comfortable, traditionally furnished book-lined sitting room, even when the large fire is not alight!

There are 6 substantial bedrooms, all on the first floor, each one offering splendid views over the grounds or open countryside. Our super king suite is a very large airy room with triple aspect windows overlooking the gardens, countryside and our very own chicken run (these girls provide us with the freshest eggs for your breakfast). It also has a large en suite bath and shower room. There are also 2 king-size rooms, each with seating areas, en suite bathrooms and traditional furnishings.

We have a delightful double room brimming with character, which comes with a spacious en suite bathroom. Lastly, we provide a bright and airy twin room that overlook the pretty gardens. All the period bedside lights give the rooms a soft charm and relaxing style. The sitting areas have soft furnishings. All rooms come with a hospitality tray, hair dryer and trouser press and luxurious toiletries.

You can look forward to a delicious breakfast in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the garden; the perfect start to the day following a blissful night's sleep in our luxurious handmade beds. The extensive breakfast menu is served at the B&B in the breakfast room with period furnishings, overlooking the large rear garden.

We offer a fabulous afternoon tea, offering delicious home-baked and homemade options. After a busy day sightseeing, you can unwind in the guest lounge and tuck into one of our antipasti boards, please give use 24 hours’ notice.

Lots of fantastic attractions are within 20 miles of us, including Newburgh Priory, Shandy Hall, Fountains, Byland and Rievaulx Abbeys. Nearby are Newby, Nunnington and Beningbrough Halls. You can visit the charming market towns of Thirsk, Helmsley and Easingwold. The east coast resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay are within an hour’s drive.
