The Garden House At West Longridge Manorffer in Berwick-upon-Tweed offers fabulous accommodation. Based in a lovely area of Northumberland, we are great for an idyllic getaway.

This delightful property is based in a large wing of a grand manor house, offering lots of original character and charm. The property is beautifully furnished throughout and comes with everything you need for a cosy getaway.

A well-equipped kitchen is great for home cooking and includes a solid maple units, granite worktops and all integrated appliances such as dishwasher, microwave and full sized oven and hob. The dining room is perfect for enjoying some home-cooked meals in, whilst an LCD TV and open fire place are also available. Double doors open onto a lovely terrace. You can also unwind in elegant living room that includes an open fire place, LCD TV and DVD.

A gorgeous ground floor bedroom comes with a twin that can be made into a super king. En suite facilities include a powerful shower and an additional electric shower. On the ground floor there is also a WC.

The first floor has two beautiful bedrooms, a double an a twin/super king room. The double en suite includes a slipper bath and the twin/super king en suite has an en suite bathroom with a Mira rain shower over bath. Both rooms have an LED wall mounted TV.

The cottage is 2½ miles from the nearest local Post Office and shops at East Ord. Berwick-upon-Tweed is only 4½ miles away has a good selection of supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a sports centre with swimming pool and arts centre. The long, sandy, Northumbrian beaches, such as Cocklawburn and Bamburgh, are only a few miles away.

There are a large number of country houses nearby, which are open to the public including Paxton House and Manderston. Floors Castle at Kelso, and Alnwick Castle (the location for the

'Harry Potter' movie) both make interesting day-trips. Children will enjoy Heatherslaw Mill with its narrow gauge railway or feeding the animals at Conundrum Farm Trail.

Berwick is situated in the Borders of Scotland and England and is famous for its unique Elizabethan walls and the splendid views of the town from 'Megs Mount' and 'Brass Bastion'.

Within easy reach are the Cheviots, which offer exceptional hill walking, the Farne Islands where seals and large numbers of seabirds are resident plus some excellent SCUBA diving. Lindisfarne, of course, is famous for its part in early Christianity in England (Check safe crossing times here.). The Tweed Valley offers some of the best fishing in the UK and bird watching in the unspoiled countryside is a pleasure.
