Grove Cottage offers self catering accommodation situated in the heart of Bamburgh village and is within easy walking distance of the beach, golf course and Bamburgh Castle. Northumberland boasts many great attractions and unrivalled scenery. Our holiday cottage is the ideal base for those wishing to explore the North East of England.
Grove Cottage is over two floors. An open plan ground floor features a fully equipped modern kitchen, leading to an attractive dining area with seating for six people. The spacious living room is relaxing and homely with a wood burning stove the attractive focal point. Access to the utility room, is from the outside courtyard where there is garden furniture and a barbeque for you to enjoy at your leisure. Parking is on the street in front of Grove Cottage.
Upstairs the twin bedroom has been beautifully decorated. It is a light airy room with front facing window gives you a great feeling of being beside the seaside. Large comfortable single beds with luxurious Egyptian linen, a dresser style wardrobe with two drawers and a small bedside table finish this room off perfectly. A spacious master bedroom has a large king size bed, en suite bathroom with a shower and overlooks the impressive views of the grove. The third bedroom has a window overlooking the courtyard and a 3/4 size bed suitable for 2 children. Bedside storage, bespoke hanging suite and vanity console are also provided. The bathroom is superbly equipped with a stand-alone bath and matching furnishings.
Our holiday cottage has a huge variety of facilities including: wood burning stove with supply of logs, flat screen TVís, Netflix, telephone, CD & DVD players, Wi-Fi, iPod dock, range of games, toys, books and DVDís, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cooker and a huge range of kitchen utensils.
One of the most visited and beautiful places on the Northumberland coast is the sandy dunes of Bamburgh beach. On one side stands the famous castle and on the other, the dramatic Farne Islands where over 23 different varieties of birds can be spotted. The islands are also home to the largest colony of grey or Atlantic seals with around 1,000 pups being born each autumn. Bamburgh beach, voted one of the North Eastís top surfing spots is a great place to sit and watch kite surfers, spend time with the family, walk the dog or go horse riding along the miles of shoreline. From here you can also admire the views of Holy Island, wildlife of haven with it being home to a natural nature reserve. This small island is well worth a visit to spot numerous rare birds and sample a fresh crab sandwich, a Northumberland speciality.
