Backaskaill B&B offers bed and breakfast accommodation located on the Isle of Sanday which is part of the Orkney Isles. There are regular ferries to Sanday from Orkney Mainland and daily flights from Kirkwall Airport. If you are brining your car you will need to book Orkney Ferries in advance.

We offer a double bedroom with a king size bed and en suite shower room, a single room with separate shower facilities and a twin bedroom with a private bathroom that has a bath, overhead shower, WC and wash basin.

Both of the guest rooms have lovely views across the countryside (the single has sea views) and the following facilities are provided:

All of the rates include breakfast that is served in the dining room. There is a range of food available including a full English breakfast and lighter options. Evening meals are also served; the restaurant is open to non-residents. Packed lunches can be provided for guests staying with us.

Guests can relax in the lounge area where there are a range of books, games, a CD player, a DVD player, plasma TV. This is a lovely place to relax, read a book or enjoy a drink.

Guests can also use the conservatory that boasts views over the sea and countryside. You can even see our goats, Flymo and Fudge who love relaxing in their paddock.

Sanday boasts long stretches of unspoilt sandy beaches where you can relax and try to spot seals, birds and other beautiful wildlife. Guests can enjoy one of the many coastal walks whilst on holiday at our peaceful and relaxing B&B.
