A period, mid 17th Century cottage set on a quiet side Street in the village of Moulin perhaps 3/4 mile out of Pitlochry. This self catering accommodation sleeps 6 - it has an open fire, washing machine, tumble dryer, TV in all bedrooms, heating, linen, towels & fully equipped kitchen.

Superb golf (8 golf courses in less than 8 miles) and fishing can be enjoyed in the area, and there are numerous castles, gardens and distilleries to visit. Why not start your exploration closer to home and follow any of the pleasant walks starting directly from the doorstep. Moulin and Pitlochry are a marvellous centre from which to tour the moorlands and dramatic river scenery of this part of Scotland.

Pitlochry is a thriving largely Victorian resort set amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. The town itself has retained many stone-built Victorian buildings and the main street has an unusual period cast iron canopy over one side. The town offers every facility and entertainment including the famous theatre.

Pitlochry's central location brings all of Scotland within daily driving and is regarded as the gateway to the Highlands; the dramatic approach up the A9 from Perth certainly bares that out. Pitlochry is also known as a centre for hillwalking and climbers, surrounded by mountains such as Ben Vrackie and Schiehallion. Other outdoor activities, such as angling, golf and boating are also popular.

Blair Castle is one of Scotland's major stately homes. It is open for visitors on a daily basis (entrance charge). Its many rooms feature important collections of weapons, hunting trophies, souvenirs of the Murray clan, ethnographica, paintings, furniture, needlework etc, collected by the Murray family over many generations. The castle also provides the garrison for the Atholl Highlanders, the private army of the Duke of Atholl, noted as the only legal private army in Europe.
