Hafod-y-Blodau offers stunning self catering accommodation in Llanynis near Builth Wells. Our charming barn in Powys boasts glorious views over the Irfon Valley and the Cambrian Mountains.

Our award-winning property is perfect for a rural retreat away. Downstairs there is a large sitting room with a TV, DVD player and wood burner. French doors open onto the terrace. The fully equipped kitchen/dining area comes with a well equipped kitchen: electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a downstairs WC.

Upstairs there is a double room and a twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom. All bed linen is provided.

Outside we provide garden furniture and a BBQ. From here you can admire the spectacular views.

We are surrounded by pasture land and extensive woodlands criss-crossed with footpaths and tracks leading down into fields alongside the river Irfon and behind. The Irfon valley is a designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) because of its sometimes rare flora and fauna including otters. This beautiful stretch of river has many lovely secluded pools for wild swimming in the heat of Summer and plenty of shallows for paddling and minnowing.

Pony trekking, golf and tennis courts are available nearby and there is an indoor swimming pool in Builth Wells. It is an easy drive to Hay on Wye, the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley Dams at Rhayader.
