The Squire Farm Holiday Cottages in Chapel Lawn are set on a small farm in the tranquil surroundings of the Redlake Valley in Southwest Shropshire. We are perfect for the ultimate rural getaway.

We have two charming cottages to choose from, surrounded by 25 acres of woodland and pasture where there are sheep and horses grazing. Based in a secluded location, we are ideal for peace and relaxation.

Squire Cottage:

This delightful cottage offers lovely views over the River Redlake with its babbling brook and ancient wet woodland. Inside there is an open plan kitchen and sitting area with a large inglenook fireplace, seating and Freesat TV/DVD player. The well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances for home cooking and a large refectory table. A small cloakroom has a WC and a washing machine.

Upstairs there is a twin room and a double room, plus a bathroom. A cot and sofa bed are also available. Outside there is a patio area and enclosed rear garden with wooden furniture for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Xidong Cottage:

Our oriental cottage sleeps two, great for a romantic getaway. This converted cowshed has a private garden terrace for al fresco dining and an ornamental fishpond and waterfall. Soak away your troubles in the luxurious hot tub.

Inside there is a lean-to with a cloakroom and which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and small freezer. The spacious main room has a luxury feel and is designed in a Japanese style using natural materials. There is a locally made, bespoke oak table and chairs and a seating platform with futons and large cushions, plus lounging chairs. Facilities include Free Sat TV, a DVD player and a toasty wood burner.

There is a modern well-equipped kitchen with a curvy green glass division wall that separates it from a wet room. Up stone stairs, on the mezzanine floor is a comfortable bed with simple basic wood furniture and some storage boxes.

There is plenty to see and do in the area including numerous castles, houses and gardens. The area is well-stocked with places to eat. The area also has lots of scenic walking and cycling routes to enjoy, great for nature lovers looking to explore the area. Great attractions to visit include:

Ludlow and its castle.

Wigmore Castle.

The Spaceguard Centre.

Offa's Dyke Path.

Stokesay Castle.
