Cheese Room Cottage offers superb self-catering accommodation in Marchamley, north of Shrewsbury. Located in a beautiful part of Shropshire, we are perfect for a tranquil and relaxing holiday.

Our property has been lovingly restored to offer high-quality accommodation for the disabled wheelchair user as well as able-bodied guests. The building was originally used for the making and storing of cheese and was part of the dairy farm.

This ground level cottage comes with a spacious open plan living room with well-equipped kitchen and dining areas. The living area has the original oak-beamed ceiling from the farm cheese store. A wood-burning stove sits in the original brick fireplace, perfect for keeping toasty in the winter. Facilities include a two-seater sofa, electric recliner chair and wall-mounted TV/DVD player. French doors open onto a lovely patio area with a garden table and chairs - the perfect place for a spot of al fresco dining.

The L-shaped kitchen comes with a built-in fridge with a freezer box, single-drainer sink, electric touch-control ceramic hob and a combination fan oven/grill/microwave. There is wheelchair access underneath the sink and hob and easy-access cupboards.

Two bedrooms are available. The main double bedroom comes with singles which can be made into a super king double. Facilities include a TV and a hair dryer. The single beds/superking bed are raised on castors which gives adequate height for a hoist to fit underneath for those disabled guests who use one. A single bedroom with vanity unit and TV/DVD player is located upstairs for an accompanying carer or third family member.

Both bedrooms share a wet room with a thermostatically-controlled shower with both a wall-mounted circular head and a hand shower attachment. The wall-mounted shower seat and grab rails either side of the toilet can be folded away if not required.
