Monks Retreat and West Wing offers superb self catering accommodation in a peaceful lane in the heart of the historic village of Norton St Philip.

Monks Retreat: The apartment is entirely self-contained and is positioned on the top floor of this historic manor house. The private side gateway guides you through a courtyard garden to an elm-studded medieval door. The staircase leads you on to the recently refurbished apartment in the vast attic space awash with oak beams and beautiful views of the rolling countryside.

Inside there is an elegant sitting room with a smart TV and a Bluetooth music system, a dining room with a fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen and a master bedroom with a double bed. There’s also a single bed and a shower en suite, plus a twin/double room with 2 beds and a single bed is also available.

West Wing: Our wonderful apartment is perfect for a magical break in a great location. Unwind in the large sitting room with boasts large windows, oak dining table, lots of comfy sofas, smart TV, flat screen TV and Bluetooth music speaker. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen.

A gorgeous circular staircase leads to two en suite bedrooms, including a large four-poster bedroom with a large bathroom and a double room with en suite facilities.

Outside there is front garden and seating for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Norton St Philip is a very pretty ancient village and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day. Bath is a 15 minute drive (not in the rush hour!). The village has two pubs - The George Inn, claimed to be the oldest in England and the Fleur de Lys. Both serve delicious home cooked food. There are two local shop farm shops. A variety of countryside walks from your doorstep.

Easy access to Bath with its' tourist attractions, restaurants, Theatre Royal and shops. The children's play park is 1 minute away. Norwood Rare Breeds Farm is located in the village. Horse riding 2 miles. The Bath area has a large selection of golf courses.
