The George Inn is a 17th century family owned free house located in the scenic village of Croscombe near Wells in Somerset.

There is a spacious bar/dining area where you can enjoy a range of beverages. There are normally 4 real ales on offer. The following ales; King George The Thirst and George & the Dragon are brewed exclusively for the inn. The pub also provides several local ciders.

The food served is a mixture of classic and contemporary British cuisine. There are plenty of places in the pub where you can choose to eat. There is a snug area with seating for 10, our restaurant with seating for up to 30, the old tack room that seats 20 and the main bar which seats another 30. The bar includes a lovely open fire which makes it especially attractive in the winter. In the summer, don’t forget the lovely beer garden.

Accommodation consists of 3 doubles and 1 twin. All rooms have a TV, tea/coffee making facilities and Wi-Fi. In the morning a full English is offered as well as other options.

Our inn is at the foot of the Mendip Hills, just two miles from Shepton Mallet and Wells. We are in a great location from which to explore this beautiful part of Somerset as we are within easy reach of:
