Westermill Farm Cottages is located on Westermill Farm, a traditional 500-acre working hill farm located in the heart of Exmoor. Our cottages are just a short drive from the centre of Exford and in the ideal base for those who want a relaxing break.

We have six delightful Scandinavian-style cottages available. The holiday cottages sleep from 1 - 8 people and have been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout to ensure they have a homely feel. Each cottage is two-story apart from Gorse which is single story.

Each cottage has a cosy living area with a TV/DVD player and a toasty wood burner for the winter months. The kitchens are well-equipped for home-cooking and there are beautiful bedrooms, plus modern bathrooms. Outside there is a seating area, great for a coffee in the afternoon sun. There is also a laundry, large drying room, payphone and seasonal shop on site.

Braken Cottage:

Bracken is one of our larger cottages sleeping up to 8 people. It stands in the top paddock with a grass area in front and with views across the valley. An ideal cottage for families wishing to bring grandparents or for groups of friends.

Molinia Cottage:

Molinia is one of our larger cottages and can sleep up to 7 people. It stands in a secluded corner in the same paddock as Bracken cottage with a grass area in front. Beside the cottages runs a shallow stream.

Ling Cottage:

Ling is one of our smaller cottages sleeping up to 4 people. It is situated in the bottom paddock next to Whortleberry cottage with a little brook running along side. The cottage is named after a heather which carpets the moorland, turning to a vivid pinky/purple during August.

Whortleberry Cottage:

Whortleberry is one of our smaller cottages sleeping up to 4 people. It is situated in the bottom paddock next to Ling cottage and faces south. It sits beside a small larch copse which boosts a large number of wild birds.

Gorse Cottage:

Gorse cottage can sleep up to 8 people and is a single storey. It is our oldest original log cabin sourced from Finland and built by the Edwards family. It has the real log cabin appeal. The cottage features a large grassy area in front.

New Holly Cottage:

This wonderful cottage is luxuriously furnished and perfect for a magical getaway, offering wooden interiors, a gorgeous slate floor, rustic fire and a veranda with seating, great for a coffee in the morning sun whilst savouring the views.
