Marden Down Cottages consists of two well-equipped self-catering cottages in the lovely village of West Marden on the Sussex and Hampshire border.

Stable Annexe accommodates up to 4 people and has been tastefully furnished over 2 floors, with a charming walled patio sit out area overlooking our pony paddock and the South Downs. On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge/conservatory.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed with 2 bedside cabinets, wardrobe, chest of drawers and 2 roof lights with blinds. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds with bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and hanging space. Stunning views from this room over our paddock, farmland and the South Downs. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, washbasin, heated towel rail.

Outside there is a gravel parking area, upper patio and steps down to the garden and conservatory patio/outdoor dining/barbeque area.

Gardener's Cottage sleeps 4 people and includes a fully fitted kitchen, lounge, dining area and 2 bedrooms - Bedroom 1 has 2 single beds, 2 bedside cupboards and reading lamps and 2 chests of drawers. There is an under eaves cupboard to store your luggage. This is a south-facing room with lovely views over the front garden, fields and woodland.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed, 2 bedside cabinets and reading lamps and a wardrobe. There is also an under eaves cupboard to store more luggage. There are fabulous views over our paddock, fields and the rolling Downs. The Bathroom is fully tiled with a bath and power shower over, washbasin and cabinet and WC. A heated towel rail and underfloor heating add that little touch of luxury.

The back door off the rear parking area opens to a small entrance lobby with a hanging area for coats etc. Off the lobby is a small utility room with more hanging space, a washing machine and hardwood worktop and shelves.

West Marden is in rural West Sussex, in the rolling South Downs National Park, on the edge of the village of West Marden, which is 8 miles from Chichester. The Victoria Inn, our village pub, serves a selection of beers and excellent food (we can vouch for this!) and is only a 3-minute walk down the hill (5 minutes back up!). A small shop and tea room, playground/tennis court, The Coach and Horses (Compton village pub) and church can be found in Compton, less than a mile up the road.
