The George & Dragon Inn offers fantastic food and stylish bedrooms in Chichester. Our pub dates from the 18th Century and is just 500 yards from the Old Town Cross and Cathedral, making us the ideal base for exploring the area.

We have 10 wonderful bedrooms available, housed in the beautifully converted old stable block across the courtyard from the pub. The rooms all enjoy a unique character and retain many original features whilst offering modern accommodation. All the rooms include:

Flat screen TVs.

En-suite shower rooms.

Coffee & tea making facilities.

Free wi-fi.

Free Continental breakfast – served 07.30 – 09.30 am.

Enjoy a drink or two in the bar which offers a ‘proper’ pub atmosphere. We offer ales, wine, spirits and 24 specialty gins. Stay toasty in front of one of the open fires or relax in the decked garden in the summer months.

Our restaurant offers delicious British pub classics using local produce. You can dine in the light-filled restaurants or dine al fresco when the sun is shining. We offer local fish, stone-baked pizzas, gourmet burgers, pub classics and Sunday Roasts.

We are centrally located at the top of North Street, just a short stroll from Chichester’s popular shops and attractions, such as the historic Cathedral, Pallant House Gallery and Chichester Festival Theatre. The pub is also ideally placed for visiting the famous motor circuit and racecourse at Goodwood, the racecourse at Fontwell, the gardens at West Dean, Chichester Marina and the beaches at West Wittering.
