Situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, Monkton Farleigh is an unspoiled, picturesque conservation village. The farmhouse is set in its own grounds, originally a barn which dates back to the 1850's, which has been sympathetically converted, some 25 years ago by ourselves, retaining many of its original features. The village lies 5 miles east of Bath and 5 miles from the Saxon town of Bradford-on-Avon, 1 mile off the A363 which joins the two.
The Kings Arms, a 17th century Coaching Inn, provides excellent food and is just a stroll away through the pretty village. We are ideally located for visiting the World Heritage City of Bath. 'Aquas Sulis' boasts the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, Royal Crescent and the recently finished Bath Spa. Boutique and high street shopping can also be found in Bath, with Jamie Oliverís Italian restaurant and the River Cottage cafe offering a break for weary feet.…
