Nant-y-Big, a family-run camping and caravan site for over 80 years, is the only campsite that is positioned by beautiful Porth Ceiriad beach near Abersoch on the Lleyn Peninsula. It has the luxury of three separate camping areas: safe, family-only pitches with electric hookups near to the facilities, a 15 minute walk down to the beach; a low-density camping area with panoramic views of the beach and Cardigan Bay; a third area set in the valley just above Porth Ceiriad beach itself. These last two camping areas require a short walk of between 50-250 metres - depending on choice of pitch - to more basic facilities.
Out of peak season, the campsite is a haven for wildlife, especially birdlife, the tranquil, southern-facing setting making for one of the most relaxing camping experiences anywhere, weather permitting. Nature-lovers will enjoy the quiet beauty of coastal walks or seaside fi…

We have seventeen seasonal pitches and eight touring and camping pitches. Each of our twenty five (25) pitches measure approximately 9 metres square. Each has a 16 amp EHU available. The pitches are properly marked so all campers have a guide to use when pitching up.
The site has a gradual, but not extreme, slope which is perfect for drainage in wet conditions for caravans and tents. This was a blessing during the end of May Bank Holiday in 2007, and in August 2010, where just under 3" of rain fell in less than 72 hours. There wasn't any standing water on or around site.
The site manager always offers assistance to help you pitch up. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just starting out, help and assistance is always available.
Campsite facilities include free showers, separate ladies and gentlemen toilets, a large fridge freezer, a washing up facility, chemical disposal poi…
