The campsite accommodation is in a handy location for exploring the picturesque Peak District and the nearby village of Castleton. The campsite has a main field for caravans as well as an additional field for tents. There are hard standings available in the caravan field and electric hook ups are available in both fields.
Onsite facilities include toilets on the main field which are clean, but basic, and a recently built shower block which contains a disabled toilet and shower facilities. In addition to this, there is a laundry room equipped with a washing machine and a tumble dryer and a family-run café which serves delicious cooked breakfasts from Friday-Monday. The nearest pub is just a short walk away and also serves food.

It lies in a secluded dip in the hills prolifically planted with trees and shrubs to provide a sheltered park for tents, touring caravans and motor vans. The whole site is meticulously maintained to a very high standard from the spotless ablution blocks to the neatly trimmed grass.
The site shop stocks a complete range of goods including groceries, books and magazines, toys, souvenirs and fresh local dairy produce. We have full on site facilities including toilets and shower blocks, which are charged at £1 for 5 minutes or 20p for 1 minute , pot washing areas, drinking water and an extensive play area for children which is a big hit, which you can camp right next too if you are non electric. There are 65 grass electric pitches for caravans, motorhomes or tents and a further 20 hard standing pitches for motorhomes or caravans. 4 of these hard standing pitches are serviced pitches. They are well spaced and clearly marked for ease of pitching. All the electric pitches have a 16 amp supply but we ask that all appliances used should be camping and not domestic to avoid tripping out the electric. Our Camping Barn stands at the foot of Narrowdale hill just outside the village of Alstonefield and is part of our 200 acre sheep and beef farm. It is reached by an old bridle path which has been upgraded to allow access to the barn where car parking spaces are provided. With lovely views and dale walks in all directions our barn sleeps a maximum of 12 people and is a most excellent base for walkers, cyclists, scouts, Duke of Edinburgh and school groups etc; as well as small numbers of individuals. The barn is inspected yearly by VisitBritain and meets their camping barn standard.
