The Bickford Arms has stood at Brandis Corner near Holsworthy since the 17th century, first as a coaching inn and now as a completely rebuilt traditional pub/restaurant offering bed and breakfast. Reduced to a shell by a disastrous fire in 2003, The Bickford Arms has been lovingly restored into a stunning mix of period features and modern-day comfort.
There are eleven spacious letting bedrooms, all centrally heated, with bath and shower en-suite, and beautifully furnished in a modern style. Every room has a TV, and a tea and coffee maker. Warm, comfortable and relaxing, our rooms are ideal for an overnight stay or a longer break.

The restaurant at the pub has won many awards for its food, including 2 AA rosettes and most recently, we were very proud to have won the best place to eat - pub, as voted by the public, in the Wales National Tourism awards.
The menus change regularly and offer locally-sourced, seasonal food, much from our kitchen garden when in season. Our specials board changes regularly to give an even greater choice. We also offer a delicious children menu.

Top chef Tony Binks took over the 1870s pub in 2006. Already voted “Destination Restaurant of the Year,” the pub sits at the heart of Barrasford village in the North Tyne valley.
It regularly hosts quoits tournaments, Hunt meets, darts finals and vegetable competitions and the friendly bar is a focus to enjoy the crack, hand-pulled real ales and general banter.
The two public dining rooms and small private dining room accommodate guests from all over the north, drawn by the landlord’s formidable reputation in the kitchen.
Tony and his young team serve Quality Standard Northumbrian beef and lamb, seasonal game, fish from the North Sea, local cheeses and stunning home-made desserts, accompanied by an excellent selection of modestly priced wines.
Stay in a place with a warm and homely atmosphere that you'll never forget. Come and enjoy some fine Northumbrian hospitality while yo…
