Travellers Rest, East Pennard, Shepton Mallet, Somerset

Built in 1790 as a coaching inn, the Travellers Rest is a traditional country pub with a friendly atmosphere. The pub is located in the village of East Pennard which is close to the Somerset town of Shepton Mallet. Visit us for drinks, a good quality pub meal, a snack or teas and coffee and enjoy our award winning garden in summer or our roaring log fire in winter. For a longer stay, book one of our rooms for bed and breakfast. We are home to a number of skittles, darts and pool teams and the skittle alley can be hired for private events.

The pub offers traditional pub food and in the summer we offer cream teas. Guests can enjoy food in the restaurant, bar or garden area. There is also a wide selection of beverages on offer from local ciders through to cask ales.
