The Village House Coaching Inn is nestled in the newly formed South Downs National Park, at the heart of the picturesque downland village of Findon, near Worthing and was first mentioned by name in the 'Findon Chronicles' in 1527 when it became the property of a Mr Thomas Beret.
We have six individually furnished en suite bedrooms-including one four poster- and each room has colour TV, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryer and alarm clocks. Built in 1790 as a coaching inn, the Travellers Rest is a traditional country pub with a friendly atmosphere. The pub is located in the village of East Pennard which is close to the Somerset town of Shepton Mallet. Visit us for drinks, a good quality pub meal, a snack or teas and coffee and enjoy our award winning garden in summer or our roaring log fire in winter. The Frampton Arms was built in mid 1840 to coincide with the opening of the railway - and what better site for a Public House than opposite Moreton Station. Under the present proprietors, John and Janette Paulson, the Frampton Arms has undergone a process of complete renovation over the past 15 years. A new toilet block has just been completed to include disabled toilets.
