Hill of Maunderlea Lodges provides the perfect Scottish holiday escape, whether you’re looking to relax in tranquil surroundings or explore the wide range of activities in Aberdeenshire, Moray, and Speyside. Set in 14 acres of mature woodland on a small hill in historic Banffshire, our four newly built lodges offer luxurious self-catering accommodation in a stunning and peaceful location, ideal for any time of year.

Our lodges are luxurious and suitable for people with disabilities. Each lodge boasts glorious views over the surrounding countryside. The lodges sleep up to 6 people and come with underfloor heating provided by air source pumps.

The ground floor is disabled friendly and comes with a double room, large wet room with a shower and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Upstairs there is a double room with a balcony, a twin room and a bathroom.

Each lodge comes with excellent facilities: HDTV/ Blu Ray, Freesat, USB port docking points, fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave and toaster.

Onsite we have walkways where you can walk safely with your children or dog as far or as little as you like.

We are a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside, which boasts woodlands, small lochs and meandering rivers. You can explore lots of picturesque fishing villages, including Portsoy and Pennan. The local area is famous for a variety of beautiful walks and cycle routes. Pony trekking, fishing and golf are all available locally. Our central position also makes us a great base for visiting lots of local distilleries and castles. Lots of attractions are in the local area, including:

Glen Moray Distillery.

Elgin Cathedral.

Banff Beach, plus lots of other local beaches.

Pitmedden Garden & Museum of Farming Life.

Duff House.
