Buttermere Cottage offers fantastic self catering accommodation in Alvah, just 5 miles from the coast of North East Aberdeenshire. Our cottage near Banff is based in a beautiful rural setting and is perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Our cottage sleeps up to 4 people and has been finished to a high standard. Unwind in the lounge after a day sightseeing. The lounge offers modern decor, thermal lined curtains and a flame effect fire. Entertainment facilities include DVDs, books, games and a new 43-inch Ultra HD Smart TV with Free Sat and Sony Blue Ray DVD player.

The well-equipped kitchen/diner comes with a range of appliances: an electric hob and fan oven, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

In total, we have 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed and a luxury en suite shower room. Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor and includes a king-size bed plus a shower room. Both rooms include duck & down duvets, feather pillows and quality linen.

Whilst staying with us you see lots of local wildlife, including Dolphins on the Banffshire coast and Gannets in Banff, Portsoy and Cullen. Dyce Airport in Aberdeen is 45 miles away and Inverness Airport is 75 miles away. North Aberdeenshire also offers the chance to see the Northern Lights. Attractions to visit include:
