Situated among the rolling hills outside Turriff, Seggat Farm Holiday Cottages offer a peaceful escape with unspoilt panoramas and abundant wildlife. Just off the A947 and only 30 minutes north of Aberdeen, this haven is perfectly positioned for discovering Scotland’s northern treasures: the dramatic east and north coastlines are both within a half‑hour drive and the Cairngorms National Park lies just as close to the west.

We offer two renovated cottages for self catering holidays which are ideal for families or couples wanting a relaxed or adventurous holiday! There are many walks, beaches or castles to visit; or if you are keen at fishing, riding or shooting these are easily arranged for you. And don't forget the Whisky Trail!

Keepers Cottage

Keepers Cottage is a traditional three‑bedroom cottage that sleeps up to six guests, with each bedroom configurable as a king‑size or twin to suit your group. A large, welcoming sitting room awaits inside, complete with sofa, LCD TV, DVD player, Wii console and a fireplace housing a wood‑burning stove. Step outside to a private garden featuring a patio for alfresco dining, ample outdoor seating and a charming “sitouterie”, a Scottish summer house, perfect for lingering over long, balmy evenings.

Gardeners Cottage

Sleeping up to six, the cottage features two versatile bedrooms, each configurable as a king or twin, plus a double sofa bed in the lounge. A spacious open‑plan layout brings the kitchen, dining area and sitting room together, creating a cosy hub complete with LCD TV, DVD player, Wii console and a wood‑burning stove. Outside, enjoy a private garden with a patio for alfresco meals and a decked seating area at the front, perfect for relaxing in the fresh air.

The Bothy

Step through the entrance into a stylish, contemporary hallway that leads to a fully equipped kitchen, complete with washing machine, fridge, freezer and electric oven with hob, paired with a spacious dining area for relaxed meals. Beyond, the conservatory doubles as a cosy living room with comfortable seating, while the inviting bedroom features a sumptuous king‑size bed for a restful night’s sleep.

Activities & Visiting the Area

Many guests at Seggat are content to just spend their time relaxing around the farm, strolling around the duck pond and feeding carrots to Harry the horse!

Hunting and stalking can be arranged upon request. Seggat has over 2000 acres of rough shoot – pheasant, partridge, geese and pigeons. There’s nothing like going out and bringing your own dinner home with you! Fishing is also available on-site – feel free to bring your rod.

Turriff and District, North East Scotland is set in the heart of Aberdeenshire, with easy access to castles, distilleries, museums, a range of historical sites and the coast, the Turriff area offers an ideal base from which to discover this lesser-known jewel in Scotland's crown.

Excellent fishing, shooting, golf, riding and a host of other activities are available and there are beautiful areas for walking throughout the year.
