Holmhead Cottage is a charming, 300-year-old cosy retreat situated within approximately 2 acres of its own grounds in the heart of Royal Deeside. Surrounded by woods and pine trees, it offers a tranquil and peaceful setting. Accessed via an unmade road from the main A97, shared only with one immediate neighbour, Holmhead enjoys a secluded and private location.

Our cottage offers comfortable accommodation with 2 bedrooms, accommodating up to 4 guests. The master bedroom features a double bed, while the second bedroom is equipped with twin beds. The bathroom includes a shower, hand basin and toilet for your convenience. The cottage boasts a fully fitted kitchen and free parking onsite.

Included in your stay are freshly laundered bed linen and towels, along with inclusive electricity. We provide matches and an ample supply of logs for the fireplace. The kitchen is well-equipped with essential crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, as well as salt, pepper, tea towels, washing up liquid, hand soap and cleaning products. Guests will find a hairdryer, highchair (as needed), iron and ironing board available. Entertainment amenities include a TV and WiFi. Additional features include extra storage in a clean outdoor shed for skis, luggage, etc and board games for cosy evenings indoors.

Logie Coldstone village is a 2-minute walk from Holmhead. The surrounding area is steeped in history and you will not be short of finding fun and interesting things to see and do during your stay. Visit one of the beautiful historic buildings including Balmoral Castle and 'Royals' Church at Crathie. One of the best ways to appreciate our landscape is to go out by foot along many of the well-established hill walking trails. You may even be lucky enough to spot one of our famous red squirrels! If taking to the snow-covered hills is more your idea of fun, we are just a 40-minute drive from The Letch Ski Centre that have many activities all year round.
