Details

Drws-y-Coed (the English translation being 'Door of the Woods') is a perfect retreat to enjoy peace, tranquillity, wonderful panoramic views of the beautiful countryside and Snowdonia mountain range. The farmhouse is nestled within a large working beef cattle, sheep and arable farm with interesting traditional 18th Century Grade II Listed farm buildings. It is approached by two driveways, one of which has mature trees and in springtime is lined with daffodils, wildflowers and rhododendrons.

There are a range of room types available. They all come with:

Free Wi-Fi.

Spacious en suite bathrooms.

In the morning a cooked breakfast is served as well as a buffet selection. You can even watch Red Squirrels in the garden over breakfast. Guests can relax in the inviting spacious lounge with log fire, television, books and board games, overlooking our stunning surroundings.

We also have an attractive garden with a gazebo to relax in, whilst there are also lovely private walks close-by where amazing wildlife can also be seen.

Drws-y-Coed is an ideal touring base for all the island's attractions and 125 miles of coastline, which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Anglesey boasts a number of 'blue flag' sandy beaches, some exposed to the rolling Irish sea breakers, ideal for surfing, whilst others are more sheltered and are safer for children of all ages.

Three miles away is the picturesque Bodafon Mountain, a pleasant place for picnics, walks and fishing. Nearby is Llyn Alaw and Llyn Cefni for trout fishing, Oriel Ynys Môn Heritage Centre at Llangefni, Parys Mountain Copper Mine near Amlwch, Din-Lligwy, an ancient settlement close to Moelfre, whilst Holyhead Port is only 25 minutes away and Snowdonia National Park 30 minutes away.

Anglesey is dotted with some of Wales's finest prehistoric sites and is centrally situated for sailing, golfing, riding, birdwatching and local leisure centres, thus making Anglesey one of THE places to visit in the UK.
