Achindarroch Touring Park offers camping, touring and glamping facilities at the foot of Glen Duro, based in a lovely area of Argyll. Parallel to the park is route 78, part of the Sustrans cycle network. Further afield you can visit lots of brilliant attractions in Argyll.
Our peaceful touring parking is the perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. We welcome campers, caravans and motorhomes. The park is licensed for 40 touring pitches (big pitch sizes), of which 37 have 10 amp electrical hook-ups. Facilities onsite include:
Generous hard standing pitches with grassed area, with 10 amp electrical hook ups.
Picnic benches with parasols.
Heated shower block with constant hot water to the showers and taps, automatic lighting and waterless urinals.
Disabled Toilet with wash hand basin and baby changing facilities.
Campers Kitchen with sinks for dishwashing, washing machine and tumble dryer, free use of the kettle, microwave, fridge and freezer, automatic lighting.
WiFi Internet access across the whole site.
Calor Gas sales.
Motor Home service point for fill and drop.
Elsan point for Chemical toilet waste disposal.
8 external water points for drinking water.
Central recycling and waste area.
For those that don’t fancy the traditional camping experience, you can stay in our glamping pods. The 2 camping pods are based in a peaceful area of the site and come with camp beds with blow up mattresses, chairs, a table and a 2 ring gas stove with gas. In total, there sleep 2 adults and a small child.
We also offer fabulous accommodation in our 4 berth Lodge, Donald’s Peak View Lodge. The lodge comes with an open plan lounge/diner/kitchen, smart TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, comfortable bedrooms, a family shower room and an outside decking area and seating for al fresco dining.
This part of the country has lots of great activities to enjoy, including walking, climbing, sailing, diving, mountain biking and canoeing. You can take a magical ride on The Jacobite Steam Train whilst savouring the amazing scenery or climb Britain’s highest mountain at Ben Nevis. Great attractions to visit include:
Steall Waterfall.
Inverlochy Castle.
Cuil Bay.
Munros.
Cave of Sculls.
