Acharossan House
Details
Acharossan House is a beautifully presented period property, quietly situated in its own secluded spot within 1200 acres of farmland, just beyond the hill from the small village of Kilfinan. Once an 18th-century Laird’s house, it has been fully renovated with great care to preserve its historic character and charm, while introducing modern comforts. The house comfortably sleeps up to eleven people.
Stepping inside, the first impression is one of space, light and tasteful decor. With a five-star rating, the house features five en-suite bedrooms, including two doubles, one twin, a bunk room and a single room with a four-poster bed. The large open-plan kitchen and conservatory area has heated flagstone flooring, creating a warm and inviting space. There is also a library with Sky TV and WiFi, a cosy sitting room and two open log fires that invite guests to unwind and relax.
This is a sensational year-round holiday destination, offering generous space for entertaining and perfect for larger groups wishing to enjoy a self-catering holiday surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty. Guests can relax on the terrace, soak in the peaceful surroundings, play a game on their private tennis court, barbecue the catch of the day, watch the children play, or pack their days with various activities and local trips. The house is ideally situated as a base to enjoy both quiet moments with family and friends and to explore the wider Argyll area. A stay here promises comfort, serenity and the perfect place to return to after a day of adventure in the countryside.
It’s worth noting that Acharossan House is located on a working farm, and the access road is a farm track that is regularly used by tractors. While the road is maintained and potholes are filled throughout the year, extra care is recommended during or after periods of heavy rain. The house can be rented on its own or in combination with any of the nearby cottages to suit the size of your party. An Electric Vehicle Charger is also available at the house and is free to use during your stay.
