Knock Old Castle in Largs offers unique self catering accommodation in a 14th Century castle. Our luxurious retreat in Ayrshire is perfect for a truly unforgettable getaway.

Our wonderful castle has been beautifully renovated to offer modern accommodation to suit all your needs. The castle features lots of quirky doors and interiors, wooden beams, plus a sauna in the tower and amazing sea views from the glass domed lookout.

On the lower ground floor, the castle keep/living room 1 comes with underfloor heating and a toasty wood burner and lovely furniture. The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen/dining room for home cooking, including an electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer. A handcrafted table offers a great place for lunch whilst savouring the asea views.

The first floor houses living room 2, including a wood burner, 48″ Freeview TV, DVD player, CD player and floor-to-ceiling doors to the balcony that takes advantage of the views.

On the first, second, third and fourth floors are four bedrooms, including 3 twin en suites and a super king room. Please note one of the en suite doesn’t have a WC. The Tower room has a sauna, offering a great place to unwind after a day sightseeing.

Outside there is a garden and patio area with garden furniture, offering the perfect place for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun. Tennis on our private court is available by request. You can also soak away your troubles in the hot tub.

Right on our doorstep are lots of gorgeous walking routes, offering the perfect way to admire the amazing natural landscape. The shore is only a short walk way and we are close to the delightful town of Largs, home to shops, restaurants and a promenade. Great attractions to visit include:
