St. Andrew’s House offers self-catering accommodation in Prestwick, set within Prestwick Holiday Park in the heart of Ayrshire. Ideal for golfers, group getaways, or family celebrations, it provides a comfortable and well-located base for enjoying the local area, with easy access to nearby golf courses, beaches and attractions.
Our Victorian property dates from 1895 and has now been renovated to offer modern accommodation. The accommodation includes The North Wing and the South Wing. The North Wing sleeps 6 people and The South Wing sleeps 4 people.
All of the holiday homes are furnished to a high standard and come with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The bay windows from the mansion enjoy stunning views over the Firth of Clyde.
North Wing
Our apartment is on the first floor and sleeps 6 in 1 double, 1 king and 1 twin room. The entrance is through the main front door and via a flight of stairs. Inside we have a large lounge which offers outstanding views of the Mountain of Goatfell. There is a kitchen dinner and family bathroom.
South Wing
This apartment sleeps up to 4 people in 1 king room (with an additional single bed) and 1 twin room. There is a WC and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. We have a lounge and dining area, plus a fully equipped kitchen. At the entrance, there is a washing machine and laundry area.
Artist Cottage
Our one-bedroom ground-level cottage has a private garden and includes an open plan sitting area with an L-shaped sofa, kitchen and a dining table for 2. There is a double bedroom, 1 dressing room with a pull-out single bed and 1 shower room with a shower over the bath. In the kitchen area, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Visiting the Area
We are neighboured by Royal Troon and Old Prestwick Golf Courses (birthplace of The Open), with access to two blond sandy beaches. We are also on the National Cycle Route 7 and Coastal Walking Path 7 (Pilgram Trail, Ayr to Paisley Abbey). Locally you can enjoy sailing, sea kayaking, walking and cycling. Annual events include Ayr Races, Scottish Bowling Championship, Scottish Plowing Championship and the Festival of Flight. Attractions to visit include:
Crossragul Abbey.
Culzean Castle and Country Park.
Heads of Ayr Farm Park.
Ayr Racecourse.
North Ayrshire Heritage Museum.
