Black Mountain Caravan Park, Llanddeusant, Llangadog, Carmarthenshire
Black Mountain Caravan Park offers camping facilities located close to Llanddeusant near Llangadog in Carmarthenshire. Whether you are seeking a peaceful retreat, a family break or a quiet place to rest whilst enjoying the many activities available locally this idyllic location in one of the most unspoilt mountainous regions of Britain is sure to surpass all expectations.
The caravan park incorporates three fields covering an area of some 6.5 acres with panoramic views in all directions. One field accommodates our static caravans and has electric hook-up points for tourers on grass or hardstanding pitches whilst two further fields are also available for tourers and tents.
Our static caravans are equipped with all modern facilities to ensure that your time here will be comfortable and relaxing. We also offer static caravans which provide comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people - please see our website for rates.
At all but the busiest times visitors may choose their preferred location within the park and the expanse of space available ensures that we have no need of measured pitches within white lines! So whether you wish to stay for a single night, a longer period or to enjoy a more luxurious holiday in one of our static caravans then we will be able to help. Short breaks are also available.
Well behaved family dogs are welcome in the park although we do insist that the cleanliness of the site is maintained and that dogs are kept on leads at all times. We welcome families and small groups however we do ask that our guests keep noise to a minimum after 10pm to preserve the peace of the site for all.
We have facilities for tents and tourers with ample room for uncrowded camping over a total of 6.5 acres.
Our laundry room is equipped with washing machine, tumble drier and iron. Washing up facilities are also provided as is a waste water and chemical toilet disposal point. There are also ladies and gents’ toilets with showers, sinks, shaving points and hairdryers. Separate vanity cubicles are also provided within the ladies’ toilet facilities.
The site has the benefit of being situated next to a Red Kite Feeding Station and is therefore ideal for those keen on bird watching as the kite’s circle overhead throughout the day. There is a rich variety of wildlife and birdlife to be found on and around the park. The rural location guarantees no light pollution and for the star gazer we have fabulously clear starry nights – a spectacular sight particularly on a crisp winter’s night (check the weather forecast).
Take a day off from mountain walking - a drive of approximately one hour will take you to a variety of exciting places including the city of Cardiff with its numerous attractions including The Museum of Welsh Life, the Millenium Stadium and Cardiff Bay. Heading south The Gower Peninsula is in easy reach, as is Pembrey Country Park and the Millenium Coastal Path at Llanelli.
To the west the world-renowned coastline of Cardigan Bay with its many opportunities for dolphin and seal watching is a trip not to be missed. Boat trips to explore the coastline depart from Aberaeron and Newquay.
